OT ~ 80th Birthday Card shower for our Mum ~ Can you help?
We will be celebrating our dear Mum's 80th Birthday on the 5th of May and we are trying to get as many cards sent to her as possible, hopefully over 80 cards.
We know many of you here on the board are always so helpful so we are asking for your help.
If anyone wishes to take part please email me and I will send you Mum's address.
We wish we could see her face when all the cards start coming in, can't wait for the day when she will tell us she is getting cards from people she does not know HeeHee! We are both sure she will be so surprised and delighted to get cards from so many of our friends here.
We really appreciate your helping us out ~ God bless you and thanks so much.

It is so nice what you are doing for your mom.
For my Dad's 80th birthday we had our kids write things they remember about grandpa. We put each thing on a piece of paper and attached to a dollar bill. We put 80 of them in a jar and called it his Happy money. Every time he wanted a treat he would pull out the dollar and read what the kids wrote. He is now 88 and he still has the little notes (minus the money ha ha) in the jar.

WOW ladies thank you sooo much for your help, you really are the greatest! We have 20 so far, for those asking mail takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get here from the States and seeing as Mum's birthday is in 23 days time, you can mail your card anytime you can.
Sue and I are on MSN right now and we are so excited about this : )

send me her address, i done that here for my moms 80th birthday, she had so much fun checking her mail every day, she's gone now, we lost her a few months back, 12-22 07 she had just turned 83 on 12-1- right before she passed.. please send the address, i know how much fun she's going to have, Wanda
