This section provides regularly updated information about the project and ways to get involved. ------------------------------------------------------------ The map below illustrates the potential statewide system. ------------------------------------------------------------  ------------------------------------------------------------ This is the anticipated high speed rail system phasing and schedule.  ------------------------------------------------------------ The Phases/Schedule graphic provides information about when major project milestones will occur. There are three phases; each phase will include a Project Development and Environment Study (known as PD&E), Ridership Studies, a Procurement Phase, and Construction and Testing. ------------------------------------------------------------ Phase 1, Part 1 covers the corridor between Tampa and Orlando. The process began in late 2001 and will continue through the end of 2006 when construction and testing are scheduled to be completed. Phase 1, Part 2 covers the corridor between Tampa and St. Petersburg. This part of the project will begin in late 2003 and finish in early 2009. Phase 2 covers the corridor between Orlando and Miami.
