Unlike current portable EPT terminals, the Xi-Max was designed from the start to be carried around and does not require visits to the counter. ------------------------------------------------------------ The Moneo Xi-Max is extremely easy-to-use: the vendor types in and validates the transaction amount. The customer can read this amount on the device display. Once the Moneo smart card is inserted, the transaction is done! ------------------------------------------------------------ - For the customer ------------------------------------------------------------ This terminal enables the client to pay quickly and immediately, directly to the salesperson or waiter, without anyone having to walk anywhere – and the same goes for fast e-purse refills. With the Moneo Xi-Max, everyday use of this new way of paying is made simple and easy. ------------------------------------------------------------ The Functionality of the Moneo Xi-Max ------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks to a SAM (Security Access Module) in smart card or SIM format, the Moneo Xi-Max enables the retailer / dealer to sign transactions, which are stored in the permanent memory of the terminal, and are later transferred onto a « shuttle » card (delivered with the terminal). ------------------------------------------------------------ This solution allows for collection of e-money that will consequently be unloaded into an EPT, at a bank’s counter, and soon at all ATM’s. ------------------------------------------------------------ The terminal also offers the user three complementary functions: ------------------------------------------------------------ - A duplicate/report function that allows you to consult the result of the latest transaction, removing the need for a printer. ------------------------------------------------------------ - An accounting function that enables the retailer to view his current turnover, and review transactions carried out by the reader. ------------------------------------------------------------ - The shuttle card enables the retailer to collect details of the transactions carried out when he wants and the card can hold up to 300 transactions. ------------------------------------------------------------ The Moneo Xi-Max technical specifications Compact (125x75x15mm) and light (120g including batteries), the Moneo Xi-Max is ideal as a counter device using very little space or can be held by staff in their pockets e.g. in a bar or a restaurant.
