Arrived today from amazon.de. The Google translation bit seems to work!

First impressions follow. Knowing me though, they are likely to change over time!

Whacked it in the DVD, no dinner and phone off the hook. Nobody was going to ruin this one!!

Pic quality great, except for those horizontal lines on one camera stage front, referred to by an earlier reviewer. It�s not a problem, just the technology of the time I guess. Just pretend it�s an old BBC2 whistle test, and you�ll be fine!

The DVD is region 2, so let�s hope that it gets a US release!

First thing I noticed was a confirmation that Snowy was not right for Lizzy at all. A contrived grin and a very cool approach contrasted with Scott�s screwing of the face relative to the pitch of the note he hit (a la GM). To be fair, Snowy moved around the stage more than I remembered. I also thought that Snowy�s playing was below par too. An off night maybe (anyone got a �Burn Me Not�TM flame retardant suit I can borrow)?

Are You Ready kicks, as you�d expect. Hearing a live recording of Genocide, a fave Lizzy track of mine, for the first time was a pretty special moment I can tell you. Philo adds a few unnecessary howls here and there. Alibi and Jailbreak up to standard. Trouble Boys disappoints as usual, especially when Darren Wharton adds an unnecessary electronic double drum beat over BD, which is a little too loud. Don�t Believe a Word � excellent. Missed memory pain as the doorbell went. The neighbours! Will report back on that one.

Got to Give it up, Chinatown and Hollywood all good. Cowboy Song, BABIT, well up to standard (if a bit iffy on the harmony parts). It was Suicide, Black Rose and Sugar Blues where I noticed Snowy a bit under. Still the band belted them out with plenty of aggression. Baby Drives Me Crazy had me right back at the Hammersmith Odeon 25 years ago. The adrenalin was flying and I even managed to dust off my air drum kit and was thrashing about like a good �un.

Desaster (Angel of Death) pretty much like the original. Opening lyrics a bit different. I wished BR or GM had been playing on Emerald though.

Overall, an easy 8 or 8 1/2 out of 10. It took me right back it did!
