Date Posted: 17:29:22 02/12/04 Thu Went to the show last night in San Fran. It was packed and Lizzy performed a great (but short) set. I have seen the "band" 3-4 times recently now, but this was the best they have played. IMO that drummer (Michael Lee?) really tightened the sound up - Bad Reputation was solid proof. A bit different arrangement. This tune got the crowd going. No "Black Rose, though - the crowd roared for the band to encore, but no dice. Deep purple came on with a medicore but good opening tune - they needed something more rocky-er. They played a great set, though. The real treat was when Joe Satriani came out and did this awesome improv jam with Steve Morse - they were really getting into it...along with vocal improv-wailings by Gillian...now that was f'n cool [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
