Lads, here's a quote:

"After all, the Vibe is a celebration, not a competition, so reviewing the acts in a critical way isn't particularly appropriate, all the acts were great and helped to make a memory for themselves and everyone else who attended what turned out to be a fabulous weekend..."

Who was that? well, it was me after last years Vibe. I've got a slightly different take on it this year(!) and the reason includes to a certain degree Phil's point (though I hate moaning about money) but more the general feeling that it was a 'mates and/or their offspring' bill, half hearted and to the detriment of the celebration, which would appear to have left a lot of people feeling let down by the overall package. Sure we're all there to celebrate Phil and his music, but we also want to be entertained...

Now, it's granted most of the acts would have done what they thought was appropriate, and that's admirable (and very few can reach the standard of the SBB, if they could we'd all be in musical Nirvana!). But because people feel a bit let down by the overall standard, then they complain about the acts, which is possibly unfair on the acts (they don't make up the bill) but that's the way it is...

There was a lot of good things about this years Vibe, and I'm sure the vast majority there had a great time (we did!) but there have been a lot of complaints (as usual getting the bulk of the publicity) and it's not because we're all nasty bast*rds who get off on slagging other people, I suppose it's because we care, funnily enough...

Anyway, pished again, better shut up.
JB
