Well designed, animated intro screen. Songs : as promised the demo recordings of "Revolution" and "No More" are included and to my ears sounded a good bit clearer than the original recordings so Par's done a good job. Interview : An "audio letter" from Shay Healy to Alan. Cuts in abruptly as Shay says "Alan". The rest of it suffers from "bleed through" from the previous section of tape. Criticism aside it's a pleasant run through Philo's career from someone who was there from the start and who knew him. Photos : two sections, "Thin Lizzy" and "Philip Lynott". "Thin Lizzy" : Bit disturbed to see two photos of Sykes and Gorham from the current tribute band but only one of Robbo. Other than that a fair selection "Philip Lynott" : A collection from Lizzy, Solo and Grand Slam days. Quotes : unused quotes from the book; not nearly enough of them. Credits : miffed that in the book Phil Birch was given the credit when nearly half the photos were originally supplied by me. Not as many of mine on the CD-ROM but I would have thought Alan would have taken the opportunity to correct his error. You get a mention but your name is spelt wrong. Overall it's a nice item, well worth the wait. Phil [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
