They probably didn't do anymore songs as the budget probably didn't stretch to it, instead the record company just put previously released tracks on the 12" and CD single.
It's also been rumoured that Gorham just can't be arsed.

Do you mean "Crying Diamonds"? Robin George said he worked on an early version of "Revolution" (also known as "People Get Ready) with Phil but when he looked for it he couldn't find any trace of it. So he recorded "Crying Diamonds" from what memory he had of it. As you probably know this track appeared on the "Spirit Of The Black Rose - A Tribute To Philip Parris Lynott" double CD from 2001.
