For the most part I will do anything that is asked of me at a job.

But this is something I refuse to do. First off I should tell you what type of work I am in. I work in a store. Every night, the money from the cash registers gets counted and what has been taken in that day gets put into a deposit bag and sealed up. On the top of the bag the Person who counted the money that is inside the bag must sign the bag.

It is policy that the money bag be sing by two people. The money bag is then put into the safe where it is later taken to the bank. The top of the money bag (the part that is suppose to be sign by two people) is torn off and placed in with the morning paper work.

Ok you with me so far?

Now this is were I come in. I do the morning paper work. I was told by the manager that the tops of these money bags must be sign by two people. I was told that if I find one that is not sign by two people, that I am suppose to sign it!

This is what I refuse to do. I did not count that money nor was I there when it was counted! So if anything fishy turns up with that money, signing my name to that bag will give them cause to come after me! Also when ever you do a "NO SALE" a little slip is printed from the cash register that the cashier is suppose to sign and give reason for the "NO SALE".

I was told if I come across "No Sale" Slips in the morning paper work that is not sign. That I am suppose to sign them! Now everyone else seams to just go along with this. But when I do the morning paper work I will not sign my name to anything that I did not do! I have not brought this to my manager's attention and I don't think doing so would do much good.

But what do you all think about this?
