What exactly are you saying? Guns depress people so much that they want to kill themselves or just looks more appealing to the severely depressed than a strong rope and shower head. Almost 1/2 of suicides (49.6% to be exact according the American Association of Suicidologyweb page) were commited by some other means other than a gun. 2% of that was by drowning. Until you can ask the dead if they were insistant on taking their life by gun or just insistant on taking their life we don't need to jump to the conclusion that gun-control would decrease the amount of suicides.

Define Justified. Are there not women in our prisons who are there because they decided one day that either they killed their abusive husband or die themselves by his hands? What about the mother who shot the man right there in the courtroom, which had molested her son. The police/courts didn't consider hers justified. Do you? Justification seems to be in the eye of the shooter and if keeping someones right to bear an arm against the above means that I just might have to be a little more responsible then I don't see that as too much to ask.

I don't feel that I have a reason to bear arms against my government, but maybe thats because I'm still allowed to bear arms.

I would have to agree that people-control would be far more effective than gun-control.
