If Republicans want the black vote, then they need to get some blacks in the party, and show that they are a diverse group, not just some group of arrogant white folks who "think" they know what is important to them because they've read some survey conducted on black voters. On the same token, the Democrats need to make sure they are living up to the expectations of black voters, and truely represent their interests or they can expect that vote to disappear like their control of Congress did.
