Subject: Lou Hennessy

As a young DC Police Officer just out of the academy in 1991, I was Assigned to the First Police District (1D). 1D covered areas of Northwest, to Southwest water front and Capitol Hill. Mixed up in these areas were plenty of low income housing projects with plenty of crime.... On slow nights I would here "Crusier 910 I'm behind a stolen vehicle". In this police crusier was Capt. Lou Hennessy. My adreniline would rise and a slow night would turn into an arrest for Unathurized Use of Vehicle (UUV). A criminal would go to jail and a victim of a stolen car would get there car back. The first night I saw Capt. Hennessy I thought "this is a Captain, Captains dont go out and get involved like this". Man I thought this guy isn't affaid of anybody or anything. Capt. Hennessy then went on to command our Homicide Unit with nothing but high praise from his Detectives.

Iam a Charles County resident and will not only vote for Mr. Hennessy but will stand at the polls and encourage other residents to do the same.
