I have read, with total disbelief, about the support and encouragement you give Nancy Brookbank. WHY ARE YOU HELPING HER? In case you missed the newspapers the entire last year, this sick woman was found GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY of child abuse. I have several grandchildren of my own and it sickens me to read of the horror this little boy must be experiencing, not to mention his poor parents.
I hate to be the one to bring this to your attention, but, the State's Attorney IS on the side of the VICTIM! Do you have a complete understanding of this concept? The VICTIM is the one you need to protect and serve! Defendants like Nancy Brookbank pay someone like you to serve them. Do you understand that, if elected, you will no longer be a defense attorney?

The only support I provide for Ms. Brookbank is that If she believes she is innocent, then she should fight to prove her innocence. As I mentioned in my earlier messages I believe strongly in our criminal justice system but realize it is not perfect. Over 100 people convicted of capital crimes were later proven innocent. Thank God they had the strength to fight to prove their innocence.

The State's Attorney is not on the side of the victim, but on the side of justice. I have always stood on the side of justice.

If you chose to support Mr. Collins that is your choice, but there is something very wrong in the law enforcement community here in Charles County when the sitting State's Attorney lies to the Fraternal Order of Police to gain their endorsement. As your State's Attorney I will not lie to the police or anyone else. The truth is the allie of justice and without the truth or truthful people there can be no justice. There is something very wrong with the State's attorney who criticizes me for making political allies of criminals, when he had a repeat offender attend a fundraiser on his behalf this summer. As your State's Attorney I will not practice hypocrisy. There is also something very wrong when the sitting State's Attorney attempts to interfere with individuals constitutional rights by asking a newspaper not to print certain items. As your State's attorney I will protect your constitutional rights not interfere with them.
