The man who was once Walter Patterson stared straight ahead, his eyes vacant. In reality, he had yet to act against the Dimenscion or for them. In his mind, he had made an infinite number of decisions along two separate paths. Every fantasy, every nightmare, was playing out simultaneously. And though Walter could now make his dreams come true, good or bad, the level of potential combined with his own psychological weakness was overwhelming. It was the worst form of daydreaming, worse than sitting at the desk in the brig of Starbase Rugby while a murderous prisoner made his escape.

In truth the Dimenscion could probably walk right through Dichotomy without Walter noticig. But as a nexus of parallel possibilities, a trip through his psyche might prove to be a labyrinth even they could not navigate....
