>Nerva Benit walked into the lab room slowly. He should tank Shrek for asking his dumb question, >color=blue> "So just exactly how did it pick that
>area of space?" Were it not for that Benit's mind would have continued to dwell upon Vera, and what could have been. He sighed, and looked down at the computer console that greeted him in the lab that he had set up. On screen was a large burst saying.

GREETINGS! AND WELCOME TO THE AOD RESEARCH FACILITY! STATE YOUR AUTORIZATION CODE AND PASS WORD.

"Prowl, GT490" said Benit and the computer replied.

ONE MOMENT PLEASE, WE ARE PROCESSING YOUR CODE AND PASS WORD............PASS WORD AND CODE ACCEPTED. WELCOME DR NIGAL BENIT.

Benit grimaced when he saw that name come up. He assumed that the Corrections and secuity's office had changed his name to Nerva...apparently they had not. He was going to have to talk to them about that when he and Shrek returned.

Up scrolled a page asking for a search to be intiated, and Benit began to type in information to the computer system about the area of space near Rugby. It's ins and outs, and what the details to the main mission were. Then, to his suprise he came upon some old files he had made. Ones that he had long deleted from his hard-drive back at the AOD, but apparently they had been retained in the Research computers. Tenitively he clicked them open and found to his dismay that they were files that he had cataloged a long time ago with very little information as to what he was searching for.

"Wouldn't hurt to look though," he said to himself and began reading file after file on data that defined the old Weapons projects. Details that were only good to those who worked on them, which Benit hadn't, that explained the purpose of the Maximals attempting to create a spark that could live forever. Such a task was looked down upon by most members of socity, but the Autobots wanted to know how Starscream and several other Decepticons had managed to live on after death.

As he scrolled further down he paused at a paragraph that wasn't part of the main document. It read backwards and seemed to ask the reader, who he assumed was himself for some reason or another, to click on the last word of the paragraph. Benit shrugged and did so. The his heart sank into the pit of his guts.

There on screen was a site that he had created to celibrate the fifth wedding anniversy of Mr. and Mrs Nigal and Vera Benit.

He swallowed hard as he read.

"Happy Anniversery Honey!" started off the Paragraph with a photo of their engangement party. It was more then obvious that the message was intentend for Vera. "Exactly five years ago I asked you to be my bride and give you the family that you deserved. I know how hard life was for you back then, and I hope that by now I've become the best husband I can be for you. I know this seems a little odd, and sounds like I'm writing in the future tense, but the reason is that I wrote this a head of our anniversery so that I wouldn't forget.

"I know I'm awful with dates, heaven knows that I missed your birthday at least twice, for which I hope to make up for.

"I just wanted you to know how special you are to me, and greatful that you're in my life. You are the connector that makes my engine run, and keeps me motivated. I love you with all my heart, and I'm so glad that you became my wife. If I don't say it enough, I truly and deeply love you. I hope you enjoy this page, it's photos of all our dates and that vaction we took to the South Pantos Island on Nebula. And my favorite Photo is the one where we were sitting next to one another at that big convention where we met on Nebula.

"I hope you love looking and remembering these times, as I had the best of time putting it together for you.

"All my love Nigal."

Following was images that had been taken of Vera and Benit when he was human. A sick ach filled him, but he couldn't stop looking. He remember what it was like to be young and in love. Remembers the times that they spent together. And how happy he was then.

And then the illness came, and the pain, and finally the factor that his mind had to be place in a robotic body...and when Vera found out about that...well she just seemed to panic. She left Nebula, and left the ring in his apartment. He'd been asleep that night, one week after surgery, and she had crept into his house, left the ring and fled for parts unknown. He had not spoken to her since, and tried to put her out of his mind.

Reading, and looking at old images gave him a headache, so he went into shutdown and tried to get some sleep.
