Subject: Kias... pretty, but sucky

My mom bought me a Kia for my 21st birthday. She had a choice between a used Toyota Corrola or a new 1999 Kia Sephia. Thinking the better deal would be to get the new car, she got the Kia. 12000 miles later, the brakes go; then the electrical recal...then the windshield wipers....and the brakes go out again. Not to mention that the closest dealership happens to think that all females know absolutely nothing about cars!! Just after 36000 mi, the battery dies, and I have to pay full price for a new one (can we say highly upset!!!). Fed up with the dealership's mentality among everything else,I switch to another one on the other side of the country when I start to hear a griding oise underneath the car everytime it rains. The head mechanic looks at me like I've lost my mind and tells me that there's nothing wrong with my car...but there is a recall on the fuel pump and to run all of the gas out of it and come back (it still grinds and rattles in the rain, no one can figure out why...have been to 4 different shops, 2 of them independents). After getting that replaced I changed dealships again... still more of the same! qweruNow at 76000 I am having to replace both axels.... something that they totally missed!!! I had pointed out more than once that I heard a rattling noise whenever I turned and got the usual response. After the parts come in (which may take up to 4 buisness days!)I will be out $1150 for front and rear axels, and of course new rear brakes! I will be going to the Toyota dealership to look for a new car next week!
