Subject: Kia Spectra

I bought a Kia Spectra last July 27, 2004...and it's been in the repair shop 23 times. The first few times were because of a clicking sound under the accellerator (they say there's nothing wrong and it hasn't been fixed) the spedometer sticks at around 12-15 m.p.h. (this happened about 9 times and they haven't fixed it), the shut off valve for the gas tank doesn't shut off properly (you can't top the gas when filled not even 3 cents more or it runs all over the side of the car and it hasn't been fixed!!), the doors (or what I thought was the doors) had a clunking noise in it....that progressively got worse as the months went by. That took 20 visits before they replaced the struts in the back. My 13 year old son got locked in the back of the car because the door wouldn't release...whether it be the door lock or the handle...no one wants to fix it. It accellerates (revs) without warrant... and I'm so afraid with the clicking sound (and feel) under the accellerator (I'll loose my steering)...I feel that it's because I'm a woman that they won't repair things...I've only 13,000 miles on the car... and it's a piece of crap. I'm in the process of going through the "new lemon law" to make Kia buy my car back. Oh... before I finish... the first day they brought me my new car with all the scratches in the front fender, they tried covering them up with a black permanent marker!! Any suggestions? Anyone else having the same problems can contact me at my e-mail address. Thank you.
