Subject: Re: Kia Sedona 2002-Loud tire noise?
In reply to: Nancy 's message, "Kia Sedona 2002-Loud tire noise?" on 09:51:22 09/13/06 Wed

We had a problem with what seemed like loud tire noise on our 2004 Sedona (among other problems). Was told by the dealer it was a bad rotor job, not covered by warranty. We knew it wasn't the rotors (the noise started over a year before the rotors were done and the rotors were done by someone with 40 years experience) but they weren't interested in looking for the real problem. We ended up paying out of pocket to replace both of the front wheel bearings. We only had about 50,000 miles on it when this happened. One of the wheel bearings was dangerous and could have caused the steering to seize up at any time. The idiots at the dealership let me drive out of there with my 1 month old and 4 year old in an unsafe vehicle. There is no way they could have missed the wheel bearing problem when they did the other "repair" we brought it in for (thats another story). I guess they could have if they were completely incompetent. Which is probably the case. Completely incompetent or maliciously negligent. Take your pick. I would have your wheel bearings looked at by someone other than a Kia dealer.
