Subject: Death Trap

I own a 2000 Sportage that is a death trap. So far I have had to replace the following

3 - Batteries
3 - CD Players
3 - Complete muffler systems
2 - O2 sensors
2 - Rims
1 - Grill
1 - EGR Valve
1 - Brake proportioning Valve
1 - Rear seat latch
1 - Was told by salesman that it was a front wheel drive truck when not in 4WD. I explained and showed him he was wrong.
1 - Complete rear tire rack with all mounts
2 - Sets of vacuum actuated 4WD hubs

You see the dealers are making a killing at $ 45-65 per hour working on this junk and charging it ti Kia. Ever try to buy a part from Kia ?? They very rarely stock anything and that make you have to make a second trip back to the dealer for the repair of one part.

Kia also wanted to charge me mileage for the rental car they supplied me with after they had to have mine towed in 3 times.

And lastly, add up all of your scheduled maintance costs over the life of the 100,000 10yr warrenty. It's almost
$ 4000.00, and if you don't have the work done they will void your warrenty. ( they have a printed sheet in the service department, but it is kept hidden during the sales pitch )

If we could get all of the Kia owners to write one letter to the editor, in their home town, about this imported crap we might close them down By the way doesn't KIA stand for Killed In Action ??
