Subject: I stumbled on some paper that gave several names for Isabella G. It didn't click with me then, but maybe I can find it again. If I remember right - not sure about that - one of the names was Hawisa. Usually that's another form of Isabella, but it might be a contorted form of Alice (or the other way round) which sometimes is given as Adelicia.

Really, they could have used a couple more christian names!

I have a few deadlines to meet, than I will head back to the French National Library again. They have thousands of online-documents on French history so I guess I can find a little more there. And this is fun, I'm having a blast on the genealogy newsgroups. Isn't it funny how everybody (and Anglo-Americans are worst) wants to have royal ancestors? Nobody ever claims to be a direct descendant of Joe and Jane Average.

BTW, her Majesty's personal website has excellent genealogy charts back to Adam and Eve.
