Subject: A note from The GWG co-founder and team member John S.

This is the first time I have invaded the space here on The Seti Program but I wanted to share this with all of the gay community. If you visit the other message boards you have most likely seen postings from The Gay Writers Guild. If you don't know about us, you can visit our site at http://www.gaywritersguild.org

We are a non profit organization that aspires to help gay writers. Every team member is a volunteer. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of those that have contributed to the success of The GWG.


The Gay Writers Guild is growing at an amazing pace. Since the founding of the Guild in August of this year we have edited and posted 21 stories, for a total of 217 pages of text. In addition to the stories, The GWG also has 23 original poems posted. All of the stories and poems are painstakingly read and at times sent back to the author for corrections or changes and then edited for spelling and punctuation. Then after all of that is completed, it is converted to HTML format and published to the GWG web site.

Because of the diligence that the GWG team members have taken with the work submitted to our site, some of the authors have decided to give us exclusive publication or they give us a week or more lead time. This speaks well of the hard work that all of the team members have done to make The GWG a premiere site for aspiring authors.

We also have aspired to help authors that maintain their own web sites with The Gay Writers Guild Web Ring. The ring currently has 22 members.

With the addition of The GWG Newsletter, that premiers December 1st, we are taking another step toward helping aspiring authors write better stories. This project was the inspiration of Archer. He also volunteered to edit and publish the newsletter. Quite an undertaking. Help Archer by submitting articles that will help others better themselves.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank The GWG Team Members for their dedication to perfection, all of your countless hours of work are paying off. Thank you Marc, Christian, Lee and Archer.

To all of the authors who have submitted to The GWG, thank you for having faith in us.
