maybe that was a joke but so are most people's interpretations of any religion
hmmm y'know christianity stole many of it's customs and rituals from pagan belief systems such as christmas and easter and worshipping the sabbath on sunday
so i don't think anything is impossible to believe
even the fact that maybe christianity in all it's ways is not the only single right way to serve the divine

but some christians did & have acted like terrorists and assassins many times. what was hitler all about? or the inquisitions? how were the christian european settlers in america acting towards negroes and native americans who had no concepts of judeochristian beliefs? how did the christians treat pagans and people they considered witches or heretics? by burning them at the stake?

and although i am not directing all of this paragraph at you pete i would hope anyone else reading this has the common sense to realize that everything is not as it seems
maybe superstition or religious fervor is to blame
fundamentalism is at the heart of it
evil imo is the need to manipulate and control others at all costs including taking lives
closeminded brainwashing "my way or the highway" viewpoints leave little room for variance or diversity which life is full of
you might as well just keep hitting your head on a brick wall trying to control what everyone else is up to instead of looking in the mirror people make your life the focus not what someone else is doing
owning your spiritual responsibility instead of blaming others is so much more rewarding
perhaps follow Jehovah's words 'judge not lest ye be judged'
and live them instead of pointing a plastic finger at all the people you consider "wrongdoers"?
