Kurt, thanks fo sharing with us your experiences. Many have had such Near-Death experiences (NDEs) - see your local library.
..... Religions vary a lot, and what was at one time an idealistic reason for starting them, may have in time deteriorated, possibly some of them have even become business concerns with "proper" sales literature designed to maximize the believers' money intake.
..... Nobody can take away your experiences, and you do not need any of the teachings of religions that may have been trying to "explain" something similarly to what you have exeienced.
..... Some people who have had NDEs have changed their lifestyle considerably, they want to help people, and I suggest that in helping others care must be taken to help only those who deserve it, no others. It may be that we are being/will be credited for part of the good things people do whom we helped, and we are also held partly responsible for the vile deeds that are done by people whom we have helped.
..... Have a good time during the holidays, Kurt, and a healthy and wise whole year 2004!
