Subject: New words on" A Hole to Fill"--anyone catch them?

I was at the LA show. The second verse was the same. The first was totally different. I was right up front, but I still didn't catch much of it. Caught something like "[something] searching for all your life" (where it would say "to her postal guru, her mail-order sage.")

Maybe between all of us who caught the tour, we can piece it together.

Anyone remember more than I do (or a different part)?

The British and American versions of HOLE TO FILL are different.Maybe he was singing the British version?.

I was at the Brisbane Australia show- He didn't even play HOLE TO FILL But the Aussie version off the CD has the British first verse....

Yow! I never knew that. The American version's first verse is:

She wakes up

This could have been what he sang at the show I was at. It seemed a bit different. I'm not certain. His vocal microphone needed turning up for the last few songs of the regular set.
