According to the lawsuit, Debra Poynter had her legs crushed while standing at a Dixie Highway ATM when a 1994 Toyota Camry driven by Marina Logsdon accelerated and struck her on Nov. 12, 2009.

In another case, the lawsuit states that Tina Freedom's Toyota Tundra accelerated unexpectedly and crashed in Grant County in October 2009.

Deters is asking for class-action status on behalf of all Kentucky owners of Toyota cars recalled over gas pedal issues.

Attorney Stan Chesley filed a class-action lawsuit against Toyota on Tuesday.

News 5's Brian Hamrick will have more on this story later today.
