Im not surprised at all. Just another good reason to expand my garden a bit more. I get my honey from right up the road and I get my fruits for jelly from a local grower as well. I pick my own.

Not all hybird seeds are bad but there are some that they have bred the taste right out of things to make them larger or to make them handle better for shipping (thicker skins and less juice on the inside).

BTW - Expect some higher taxes and higher cost of products in the coming years.... Paul Volkner is now trying to get congress on board with the idea of a VAT tax in this country because any new 'income' taxes will be too much of a political hotbed. However a VAT tax is a tax at all levels of a products cycle. When the raw materials are used to make rubber it adds value to the rubber and thus gets a VAT and then converted to something useable (say tires) it will be VAT'd again because of the added value of the rubber now that its a tire. When its mounted on a car, it will be Vat'd yet again.... its going to add cost to products that wont be considered inflation but its going to feel like it is.
