If Lady Sylvia has too few servants, than Lord James D'Ampton (Hugh Grant) has too many.

While the "chaps" can said to be footmen, gardeners, and stable hands, if there is a stable at D'Ampton Manor, and even tenants, he has too many maids. There should be an upstairs maid, a downstairs maid, a kitchen maid, and even a ladies' maid, if there were any ladies in the household, but he has seven, according to the cast credits. or almost twice as many as he needs.

Until next time and "Sandra Bernhard: Little Sister"
