As bedding can be obtained, even if it has to be rented, at youth hostels, a sleeping bag won't be included in Kevin's kit. Because of this, a camping mat will also be excluded.

Because he was not wearing one, when it was raining, we'll also exclude a waterproof.

Because he was wearing his anorak, we will also exclude another jacket, and a small rucksack for day hikes will also be excluded.
