After missing it twice, I finally got to see it all the way through. And while our Amanda looks better as the star, then a supporting player, (IMHO) this was one of the more enjoyable films in which she took a supporting player role.

Based upon the novel "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain, it is one of his most satirical novels, which maybe why it is one of his few novels not to be successful in the U.K.

The novel is also one of the few times, if the only time, that Merlin has ever been portrayed as the villain.

I would also like to add, that of all of her films that I have seen, this one had probably one of the best, if not the best, endings I have seen.

As film was an interesting mixture of both fact and fancy, we will take that up next week, until then . . . Enjoy!
