Eesh, dude...gotta gimme some time here bud! I can't work miracles I'm sorry ta say. As for short range, well that only really becomes a liability with 1v1 mechs. Otherwise you can separate your mechs and you'll always have at least one who can get in a shot. I know it's still not ideal, but hey...

Still though, I am planning on including Short Range in my mods in the time to come.

At the moment I am still keepin' the clan to just battle.net, and that may or may not change in the future, it's too soon to tell at this point. We'll see how stable b.net is after D2 comes out and decide then.
