Subject: Of course, since I've lived in California as well, I feel obligated to reply...

I'll always throw in my two cents worth if I can spare the change... and here it is.
Southern California isn't that bad... not where I lived at least, which was about as far south as you can go without invading Mexico. The air was always clean, it never rain, the beach was close by, and even though property and gas are expensive, most things in California really aren't too bad price wise. Honestly. Everyone just automatically assumes that everything is so expensive before it costs a small fortune... actually, a large fortune, just to buy a house out there, but it's not too bad at all once you own a house.
And as for Drake's comment about it being hot out there, you have no idea what the effects of heat can be Drakey-boy. The heat in California is dry heat, but the here in Indiana it is extremely humid, which means that you break out in a sweat very easily even if it's only 70 degrees outside. I'd take 100 degree weather in California over 80 degree weather in Indiana any day. Humidity really does make the difference. If you step outside in Indiana when it's 100 degrees (and it's supposed to be that this weekend) it's about impossible to breath, cause the air is so muggy and damp. It's really miserable out here when it gets kinda warm, and when it gets that hot not even air conditioning will do much, cause it's still so humid that you'll sweat whether you're inside or out. Well, that's about all I can say for now, cause if I keep typing then I'll be late for the hair cut appointment that I scheduled to begin 5 minutes from now. They really hate it when you're late. I got evil looks from all of the ladies that worked at the hair cut place last time I went in, and I was only 3 minutes late. Well gotta go.
