Subject: Grrr.....The Phule is EXTREMELY annoyed at the moment! fpppppt...

Ok...as some of you may, or may not be aware, I'm into AD&D. Now, I recently learned that I'll be running a group of gamers through a campaign later this year.

I have a campaign that I made, and I'm somewhat proud of it. Emrys can tell ya about it...he went through alot of it....then I went to college, but anyhow.

There are 5 tests, or trials, that the party has to go through....one based on Earth/Nature, another based on Air/Knowledge, Water/Illusion/Deception, one based on Fire/Chaos, and a final based on War.

Now, I've got them all down, except for the friggin' fire one. I just kinda bungled my way through Emrys' group and want desperately to refine the challenge so it better rises to the standard of the other ones. (One of them involves entering a region where the character's IQ drops 1 point per day. When they hit 0, the characters will have forget thier purpose (die). It's not hard to avoid this lit'l difficulty, but the two people who went through were rather nervous...heh heh heh.

Another involves a deamon, master of illusion. The party get's flung about for a moment, then the deamon works his magic. Each person is fooled by an illusion. To them, the deamon appears like one of thier comrads, and that comrade looks like the deamon. Of course, for each of them the deamon picks a different comrade to look like. The result is that all the players form kinda a "circle" where they attack the person they think is the deamon, but in reality is one of thier friends. Conversly...everyone is also being attacked by someone who thinks they're a deamon. It's pretty chaotic. :-)

I need a challenging...uhh, challenge on the par with this stuff that follows a "fire" theme. And I can't think of one! ::sniff:: DAMN IT ALL!

The DM's equivilent to writers block, ladies and gentlement.
