Subject: A sure-fire way to beat insomnia

Any of you ever give blood? I did today. I big bag of it... one pint actually. It took me longer than most of my co-workers (the blood center visited Hillenbrand Industries today, which is where I work, so me and some friends decided to give blood... my first time by the way). The main reason it took me so long is that I'm kind of a long distance runner type now, and since I run every day I'm gotten my pulse pretty low, so my heart pumps blood a lot slower when I'm not running, which is a good thing cause it means my heart is under less stress and has a much easier time pumping blood... it also means that it takes forever to fill a pint-sized bag, which isn't very small if you've never seen one. Honestly, with the way my blood was flowing, I could be mortally wounded and it would still take me several hours to bleed to death. At any rate, I've been pretty drowsy since then, which is common when you lose that much blood, and I'll probably fall asleep quite a bit earlier than normal tonight. That's all right though, because I have to get up at about 4 am tomorrow to drive to Purdue and schedule classes, take credit tests, etc. I also couldn't run today, cause they told me I'd probably pass out if I tried. Plus, though none of you have ever seen me with the exception of Phule, I'm not the biggest guy... about 150 pounds and 6 feet tall... my weight is well below the average for my age and height... course, I know I'm not the only one who posts here who can make that claim, but giving blood definately has greater effects on those with a smaller weight/height ratio. Not that that has anything to do with my giving blood though. In fact, I don't even know why I typed that, or why I typed this message in general, but really I'm just to tired to care enough to go back and delete things, cause I'd have to move to reach my mouse... it's much easier to just move my fingers and continue typing. Wow... this, to the best of my knowledge, is the most tired I have ever been at 6:45 pm.
