Subject: Mick Kenny Transferred to Training Unit

The Irish Freedom Committee is pleased to learn that republican POW Mick
Kenny was transferred last week to the Training Unit he had applied to
be moved to months ago. We join his fiancée and family in our hopes
that conditions will be more humane for Mick than at Wheatfield; where
he endured a year and a half of mail tampering, visit denials, taunting
and threats by prison guards, and continued refusals to his right to an
appeal date. Mick was also denied access to personal tapes, books and
court documents at Wheatfield outside of ten short minutes once a week.

Mick hopes to be able to have a visit over the Christmas holidays with
his fiancée, who has fought tirelessly on his behalf.
