Subject :
[FSNC] Treatment of POW Aiden Hulme:
His leg can be Saved if Action is Taken NOW!

PRESS RELEASE: IMMEDIATE & URGENT

14 August 2002
32 County Sovereignty Movement (London)
Re: Treatment of POW Aiden Hulme: His leg can be Saved if Action is Taken NOW!

A well-known orthopaedic surgeon (Mr Fyfe) has been to visit Remand prisoner Aiden Hulme, where he is presently incarcerated in Belmarsh Prison. The surgeon's findings are as follows:

The severity of Aiden's leg injury, although serious, should not necessarily result in amputation — PROVIDING HE IS OPERATED ON NOW....the emphasis being on NOW! If not, he will certainly lose part of his leg. Mr Fyfe has agreed to perform the operation in an NHS hospital in London RIGHT AWAY! It is now up to the Belmarsh prison authorities to agree to release Aiden into the care of a London hospital for the surgeon to carry out immediate treatment.

Aiden's solicitor is today writing to the governor of Belmarsh prison (Hazel Banks) enclosing a copy of Mr Fyfe's report and requesting that Aiden be transferred ASAP to an orthopaedic hospital for immediate treatment.

We in the 32CSM are ourselves putting pressure on the Irish Embassy in London to get involved by putting pressure on the Home Secretary Mr Blunkett; we are also asking the London-based IRISH COMMISSION FOR PRISONERS OVERSEAS (ICPO) to use what ever influence they might have to help in this matter.

Please help save Aiden's leg by writing, phoning or faxing any or all of the following:
