I think more than anything, I have noticed how bad other people are at communicating. Many of the people that I work directly around need to take this class just as bad as I do. I am specifically reccomending the E-mail book to a few people in my department as a jester of additional knowledge not cirticism.

Something I have noticed about myslef that needs attention, are my lengthy voicemail messages and my beating aroung the bush e-mails. Now that I am aware of them, I will be sure to complete my thoughts prior to sending an e-mail or picking up the phone. I tend to think that not knowing exactly what I need to say is part of the reason I continue to talk or write. After reading the chapters on this in the text, I realize that I am not only wasting my time, I am wasting the valuable time of others as well.
