I was doing research on HIBM and found your letter.

I'm a Jewish woman from Iran with HIBM. I have a brother who is two years older than me with the same problem. We are eight sisters and brothers in the family and it seems only me and my brother have this problem.

I have one child 9 1/2 years old and would like to know what is probability for him to have this problem.
My husband is also Jewish but both side of his family are from Russia.

I'm interested to know if there is any new research was done on HIBM, or there is any medication for it.
