Subject: 祝賀「風雲小子」稱雄香港冠軍暨遮打盃

四歲雄馬「風雲小子」今日下午在沙田馬場勇奪香港冠軍暨遮打盃，獲得頭馬獎金四百萬元之外，更因季內先後勝出三冠大賽首關董事盃及尾關香港冠軍暨遮打盃，替馬主贏得三冠大賽安慰獎二百萬元。這是自從1998年「原居民」連奪香港金盃及此項錦標之後，首次有馬匹能夠在三冠大賽勝出其中兩關。

這場總獎金高達八百萬元的2400米本地一級賽，在第七場舉行。騎師戴勝策騎由蔡約翰訓練的「風雲小子」，沿途在內檔穩守大約中游位置，進入最後直路之後，發揮凌厲衝刺，以半個馬位之先觸線，締出時間為2分28秒1。應屆愛彼錶女皇盃冠、亞軍「駿河」與「勝威旺」今仗分別獲得亞、季軍。

賽後，香港賽馬會主席夏佳理頒發獎盃予「風雲小子」馬主、騎師及練馬師。

賽後，羅拔圖說：「『風雲小子』是匹好馬，而練馬師亦訓練得法、部署得宜。馬兒沿途走得輕鬆，末段加速力強勁。我認為牠的實力在現役馬中好難有對手。」

練馬師蔡約翰表示：「『風雲小子』勝出董事盃後，本來一心進軍打比大賽，可惜當時馬兒有些發燒，我們不想讓這樣一匹好馬冒險，所以最終放棄跑打比。今日勝出香港冠軍暨遮打盃，可說是最佳補償。」

馬主黃煜坤先生盛讚「戴勝與蔡約翰合作天衣無縫，將『風雲小子』的實力及速度發揮得淋漓盡致。」
