Gabriel's world was alight with the twinkle of control pannels and resounding with the chatter of the 'Fiery Wake's' bridge crew. He let out a small smile, thinking of the unsuspecting forces based on the planet below.
"Sir, we have a message from our operative!" a young brown-haired com officer shouted to Gabriel above the bridge's din.
"Patch it through to the main screen." Gabriel commanded, jesturing at the officer. With a nod, the man complied.
The titanic screens that lined the head of the bridge changed from the image of the ever-nearing planet below to a field of dull static, and gradually solidified into the outline of a human face.
"I appologize for the lack of clarity, Gabriel, but it's a good idea to be cautious where I am...can't have anybody accidentaly tapping into this line and seeing my face before I'm done here." the figure said.
"But of course, my friend, of course," Gabriel said, his mouth forming into the outline of a smile. "Now, I trust things have gone smoothly thus far? No suspicions from our prey?"
Though the image was too blurred for it to go through, there was the general impression of a smirk in his voice.
"None at all. The whelps actually think they're out of the fire. I'd love to go over some of the more privelaged details, but I'm loathe to do it over such an unstable channel. Send the transport ship to the agreed upon spot. I'll be waiting."
With that, the image changed into static, which slowly faded back into the view of the planet.
"Send the ship." Gabriel commanded.
