*It had been two weeks since Saddle had given Hannah the stunning palomino arabian filly. she was now completely comfortable with Hannah's tack and was lounging perfectly at the walk, trot and canter. After 15 minutes, Saddle shows up at the ring. "Todays the big day. are you ready?" Saddle asks Hannah. "Yeah, i can't wait!" Hannah exclaims. Saddle takes Treasure's head and Hannah stands on the mounting block, leaning over the filly's back. Treasure snorts nervously and skitters sideways. hannah lightly grips the pommel of the saddle in her fingers, steadying herself. finally, Treasure settles down and stands still. she looks back and lips Hannah's feet. Hannah tries to remain motionless on the filly's back. after a few more minutes Saddle tells Hannah to gently swing her leg over Treasures back. the filly snorts uncomfortably and dances as hannah sits astride her for the first time. "Ok, i'm going to lead you around" Saddle tells Hannah. Hannah remains motionless and Saddle asks treasure to walk. the filly walks, every few steps stopping and shaking, trying to see if the extra weight would slip off of her back. After a few laps at the walk Hannah quietly dismounts and gives Treasure a peppermint. the filly eagerly chews the mint and Hannah praises her, then leads her to the barn and untacks her. Then she turns her out and brings up Dream. she tacks up the filly, mounts her and rides her in dressage for an hour. Dream was finally understanding how to relax and behave under saddle and Hannah was amazed with the filly's progress in the few short weeks she had been being ridden. After she finishes with Dream, she rides Missy over a course of 12 3'6 jumps and does all her barn chores.
