*She drives up with her kids in the truck and Rose and Maverick in the trailer. "You will help Katie with whatever she needs to get done while i give her kid's their lessons" Saddle tells them as they head down the Forever Creek driveway. they all nod and agree to help. when they get to the barns they unload Rose and Maverick for Kimmy and Clara's lessons. Toby pushes Katie out to meet them. "Hi, Katie, how are you feeling?" Saddle asks. "A bit better" Katie replies. "Good, well, i brought my kids over to help you with anything you need, so please put them to work" Saddle tells her. Katie smirks "Alright, i'll make sure none of them get bored" she tells Saddle. Kimmy and Clara run out. "Are we first?" they ask together. "Yes, you can have your lesson first" Saddle tells them. "YAY!" they scream excitedly. Saddle and Katie frown. "Whats the number one rule at the barn?" Katie asks sternly. They both hang their heads "No running and no yelling" Kimmy answers meekly. "Thats right, now remember to keep your voices down" Katie tells them. "We will" Kimmy replies "Yeah, we promise" Clara adds. Ok, very good. Now for your lesson, Kimmy, i would like you to ride Rose, Clara, you will ride Rick"
Kimmy and Clara's Lesson
15 minutes later Kimmy and Clara lead Rose and Rick into the ring. Saddle helps them mount, then checks their positions and helps them get into the correct positions. Saddle coaches them on their positions at the walk and trot, then brings Kimmy into the center of the ring so Clara can canter Rick. she squeezes him with her outside leg and canters a few strides before she slows him to a trot, then a walk and Saddle has her canter in the other direction. Then she sends Kimmy to the rail to canter. Kimmy kicks Rose and puts her arms foward, and leans slightly forward. "KIMMY! SIT BACK" Saddle calls. Just as Saddle tells her to sit back Rose takes advantage of her rider's forward seat and bucks. Kimmy soars over her head and lands in the soft dirt of the ring. Saddle rushes and grabs Rose's reins then leads the pony to Kimmy. "Are you ok Kimmy?" Saddle asks nervously. "Yes, but i'm not riding that pony again!" Kimmy says angrily. "Sorry, Kimmy, but you need to get on Rose again. i'll lounge you on her this time" Saddle tells her. she takes Kimmy hand and firmly leads her over to the side of the ring. she grabs the lounge line and lounge whip off of the mounting block and then lifts Kimmy back into the saddle. she flicks the lounge whip and makes Rose walk before Kimmy gets a chance to protest. "Alright, now you're going to trot" Saddle tells her. "NO!" Kimmy exclaims. "Rose, TROT" Saddle calls to the pony, not taking no for an answer. Kimmy sits tensely, bouncing all over the saddle. "Kimmy, post!" Saddle tells her. the girl frowns and posts. Saddle makes her trot for 10 minutes then tells her to ask for the canter. Kimmy realizes that Saddle isn't joking and asks for the canter, this time sitting back. Rose canters easily for a few strides before Kimmy stops her, smiling. "That was fun!" she exclaims. "See, she's not scary, you just need to sit back when you ask for the canter" Saddle tells her. Kimmy canters the other direction, then Saddle walks with them down on the trail to cool out the ponies. Then Saddle tells Amanda to get Livin' Wild ready and drives back to BRS to drop off Rose and Rick. She picks up Silver and Shining and brings them back to Forever Creek.

Amanda's Lesson
by then Amanda has Livin' Wild in the ring and is warming her up. The mare moves round and on the bit, stretching down into Amanda's hands lightly. Amanda smiles and posts lightly to the mares long, flowing trot. "Hi Amanda! She looks beautiful!" Saddle calls. Let me see her canter before we start the lesson today. Amanda gently squeezes her legs and Livin' Wild canters forward, staying on the bit. Amanda slows to a trot, changes direction and canters the other way while Saddle moves out some ground poles and jump standards. she sets a pole between each jump standard, then has Amanda trot Livin' Wild through all the poles. At first, Livin' Wild shies away from the standards. Amanda begins to look annoyed. "Relax, Amanda, she's just learning." Saddle reminds her. Amanda takes a deep breath and smiles. "I know, i just wish she would learn a little quicker" Amanda replies. she stops and runs her hand down the mare's neck, then tries again. Livin' Wild steps over the pole gingerly, then flies into a racing gallop. Amanda turns her in a tight circle. "What was that?" Amanda asks Saddle. "I'm not sure..." Saddle pauses for a moment, thinking. "I bet i know! She thinks that the standards are some sort of starting gate, i'll bet!" Amanda exclaims. "Thats a good theroy. This time just walk her over the pole, then circle her after it" Saddle tells her. Livin' Wild tries to take off again, but this time Amanda has her on a small circle. they walk the mare over the poles until she stops trying to run after, then Amanda takes her down on the trails to cool her out.

Jamie's Lesson
"Remember when you first started taking lessons with me and i promised you that you could ride Silver Diamonds one day?" Saddle asks Jamie. "Yeah!" Jamie exclaims. "Well, today you will ride Silver, i shipped him over for you" Saddle tells him. "WOW! Thank you!" Jamie exclaims. "Lets unload him and tack him up" Saddle tells him. they walk over to the trailer, then unload, groom and tack up the big percheron. "He's huge!" Jamie exclaims. Saddle bridles the horse and hands the reins to Jamie, who leads him to the riding ring. Saddle helps him mount the big horse, then Jamie gathers his reins and adjusts his stirrups. Saddle tells him to walk the stallion and bend him to the inside of the ring. As soon as Jamie bends him, Silver instantly arches his neck and rounds his back, then marches forward eagerly, lightly mouthing the bit. After a few laps in both directions, Saddle has Jamie trot. Silver's long strides cover the ground easily and Jamie posts along with the big stallion easily. Soon, Saddle has them canter. Silver instantly springs into a canter at Jamie's cue, but Jamie allows his reins to get too long and Silver comes off of the bit and speeds up. "tighten your reins and drive him back into your hands with your seat and legs" Saddle instructs. Jamie does exactly what Saddle says and Silver instantly brings himself back together and canters lightly on the bit. "Change of rein H-X-K with a flying change at X" Saddle calls. Jamie guides the horse through the move. Silver automatically changes his lead as Jamie bends him the other way. they canter the other direction, then Saddle watches them do a second level test. Then Jamie cools him out and untacks him while Saddle finds Toby and helps him tack up Shining

Toby's Lesson
Toby warms Shining up, then Saddle watches them jump a 3' course. Toby lets Shining take control and they knock down two poles. "Shining is a horse that needs her rider to guide her" Saddle reminds him gently. "Take her through the course again and this time be her rider, not a passenger" Saddle tells him. He cues the mare to canter a circle, then heads her to the first fence, keeping a firm contact on the reins and getting her to listen to him completely. this time they jump a perfect course. "Alright, this time i'm going to raise the jumps so they are from 3'3-3'9" Saddle tells him, walking to each jump and raising the bar. "You will absolutely have to be a rider, count strides in your approaches and plan your course perfectly to get a clean round. do not worry about your time, be accurate and you will do fine" Saddle tells him. Toby gathers his reins and prepares to begin the course. he takes the course in perfect form, he and Shining clearing each fence together. "Beautiful!" Saddle exclaims after he finishes the course. Toby grins and pats the mare's neck enthusuastically. he cools her out and loads her back onto Saddle's trailer.

Staci's Lesson
Staci tacks up Cinnamin and mounts the mare, Saddle coaches her on her equitation in the beginning of the lesson. "Head over shoulders, shoulders over seat, seat over heels" Saddle tells her. Staci finally perfects her position at the walk, trot and canter. then Saddle puts the jumps down to 2' and coaches Staci on her equitation over fences. "Your equitation has improved alot since your last lesson. Good job" Saddle praises her as she cools her horse out.

Saddle talks to Katie for a little while, then gets her kids back into the truck and they all head back to BRS*

Katie: would you be interested in leasing Justin's Bay Roses for Kimmy and Clara? Jessie has Satina now and she is getting too big for her.
