Date Posted: 20:14:13 11/15/02 Fri Jewel and Darci came out of their mom's truck, and took Jazzy and Maggie out of the trailer. "Hi guys!" How ya doin?" I asked them in a friendly way. Darci jumped up and down, smiling so big that it almost went all the way around her head! LOL. I laughed and turned to Jewel. "Well I guess Darci is ready, are you Jewel?" I asked her. Jewel, was much more calmer, and answered with a "Yep, sure am!" I lead Darci and Jewel into SMS, and showed them where the crossties, and tack room were. I walked out to the arena and sat down AGAIN! I knew Darci and Jewel could do that stuff by themselves. So I waited, and about 15-20 minutes later the girls showed up. They followed one another into the arena, tightening girths, and measuring stirrups. The Girls mounted Jazzy and Maggie, and walked around the arena, looking good, and smiling. Thet looked as if something really really special was going to happen. I laughed to myself, and so did Ashley and Anna. Sammy was taking a nap, so she didn't see. Jewel would smile down at Lisa and Sammy when they passed, and Darci would stare into space. Finally I said "Ok, shorten up and go into your posting trot!" THe girls obeyed and shortened up they looked their best as they trotted along the arena's rail. WE gabbed as they passed us, especially Darci. After a few mintues went by, I told the girls to slow them down to a walk. "Come on ya guys! This is a riding lesson!, not a gabbing lesson!" Ashley and Anna joked. Everyone laughed in with them, which woke Sammy up. Samantha looked at the girls and walked back to the house. I shrugged and went on. "Ok, lets reverse and go into the posting trot again!" I called to them Darci took the lead, and stubles on some of the standing parts, partly because she was happy to be hear. I smiled to myself again, and watched Jewel. THe teenager was posting up and down on Maggie with ease. I took a break knowing that Darci and Jewel could go on for a little more, I ran just to take a break at the bathroom, and them came back. "I think that was enought time" I giggled "Back to the walk!" Jewel and Darci almost halted, they stopped so soon. I let them walk around the arena, while I watched the puppy and kitten chasing other on the floor. "Into the canter!" I called out through the arena. THe girls popped into a canter in seconds, while they sat deep into the saddles. I watched the horses wizz past me, and almost got a headache. The girls made barely any faults, I just couldn't see them all. Darci and Jewl reveresed and cantered the other way with the same content. Then they dismounted, and brushed down the horses. Dana was waiting for them in the car, I watched as they drove away. Everyone was waving good-bye at me, so I waved back. Those three lessons were so fun, I just couln't wait until next week!
