Thanks for contacting the NJSDC. Your reference to what we do without snow is Gig Racing. You may want to read the history of the sport section on our page which contain a couple of descriptions of this. I have passed your query to our club president for additional response.

This activity is conducted in Lebenon St Park and in White's Boggs Wildlife Management Area, both in the vacinity of Rt 70. just south of Ft Dix.

Three clubs are active in this with an estimated 30 participants in south Jersey

10 months is the perfect age to harness break a puppy. Fall is the most active time for this type of training.
