She too faked her own disappearance. She left love letters written to herself that indicated she was swept away by a handsome, virile nobleman. Of course, this masquerade was intended to get the attention of Lord Sledgley's eldest son. Silly girl, whilst she was away Miss Nigella Snoutingham won him over with oral gratifications and is now Lady Sledgley. Thus, there is a time and a place to be a hussy.
