Subject: was the matrix to be destroyed

neo asked oracle why the arhitect lied when he said that if he takes the left door the matrix will be destroyed. i say he didn't lie. the matrix was to be destroyed and was going to do that but neo pluged in the source just in the ending of the movie and stoped that. what the others think
