I also kinda figured out Bane must be agent Smith. Not 'one of the agent smiths': he just IS agent smith and the others are copies. But them being an emp... isn't that farfetched? I got the idea maybe they weren't in the real world zion, but still in some kind of Matrix world. That's why Neo could use his powers. Like he said: 'something changed': they are no longer in the REAL world. (if there ever was any)
