Pay close attention to the plan of the architect. Everyone outside the Matrix is killed. Neo chooses the 25 new founders of Zion and tells them nothing about the previous emination, but I do like the fact that someone else thinks the architect is trying to deceive Neo and that his word is not gospel.

There are two concepts the architect talks about; previous failed matrixes (matricies????)and previous eminations of the One. The current Matrix has not crashed, but 6 eminations of the one have come before.
