i dnt think he is real close with any of them, he spent most of his life & time looking 4 morph and the matrix! I would like to see a character be brought in though that has a family, i think if they did it would make the transition into the real world alot harder...and interesting, because to them, they would feel real!
i think that had something to do with neo being the one...having no real connections to the matrix!
