Every religion, is a philosophy that is based on tales, and gets way over hyped.

that is the basic of a religion, if you think about it there's always a prophet, that prophet is simply a philosfical person.When the prophet dies every one of his disciples twists the religion into whatever comes handy for controlling the masses.

Though I do think, that most of the big prophets of the religions were extremely benefical persons and all should be praised, because they have a religion it doesnt mean they were wrong, maybe they could see more truth than most of the rest of humanity.

In the matrix Oracle manipulated the whole cast with her lies, and there was no original philosophy, though she could still be planning some greater good for the cast as we still dont really know what Oracle was planning, perhaps she just has to play low profile to not call the Architect's rage, and in the end she was doing everything in favor of Neo/Morpheous.

or perhaps like a mother she is just helping equally every one of her sons(aka any element in the matrix) with equal love for every one of em as any mother should.
