Hi,

I have not much information. But I think three things you should aware.

1) PalmOS doesn't support relational database. Instead, it support application database in its format. You can imagine it looks like a flat file. Each row is a record. However, you can't do select statements and DML statements like what you can do in relational database.

2) Commerical applications that support multilangual are usually designed specially. The trick is to put their GUI text in resource databases. So, they can be modified for different language. But recompilation of the soure code with the modified resource databases is required.

3) For the instant translation tools such as Palm Dragon, they usually do very low level things to access the OS. Also, they seem to have some specific resource files for different applications. For example, they can convert your Address book to Chinese. But indeed, they have a set of files for Address book. You may find the new calatog you created wouldn't be converted. I guess because the resource files can only support the standard set of words in Address book. That's why they can't convert everything you stored in your Palm.

Hope it helps.
